Our Story
A Legacy
Reborn
Zafar Rice Mill stands as a pioneer in Pakistan — the first to introduce automated Rice Shellers across the country. Founded by Pir Syed Ijaz Ahmad Hashmi in the 1950s in Muridke, we built our name on precision, quality, and innovation when the rice industry was still in its infancy.
Following nationalization under Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's regime, the mill passed from private hands. But the legacy endured. More than fifty years later, we return — reimagined with cutting-edge technology, backed by an Australian expert joint venture, and driven by the same founding commitment to quality.
From the fertile fields of Narang — one of Pakistan's most celebrated rice-growing regions — we manage the entire journey: harvesting, husking, processing, and exporting the finest rice to tables across the globe.
